Prof. Avv. Daniele D’Alvia is the CEO and Founder of SPACs Consultancy. He is and Italian Qualified Lawyer and a pioneer in the studies on Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs) having written the first book ever on SPACs as well as the first landmark papers on the topic. He is regularly invited to speak on SPACs at international conferences and he has organised conferences on the topic too. He writes short editorial for SPACs on important business newspapers such as Il SOLE 24 ORE, Financial Times, and online legal research platforms such as Bloomberg Law, CAIA Association, etc.. He has assisted several SPACs during their acquisition process as well as on their listings in Italy and Worldwide.
He is a visiting lecturer at Birkbeck University of London since 2014, where he acts as the module convener of Comparative Law. He is an Assistant Professor in Financial Regulation at the Cyprus International Institute of Management, and an Associate Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London since 2019. Formerly, he held the position of visiting lecturer and module convener in International Finance at the University of Hertfordshire, and since 2010 he worked for top tier international law firms such as Bonelli Erede Pappalardo, Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP, and Deloitte LLP where he assisted clients in relation to M&As transactions, bond issuance, and IPOs. He has also worked for the Financial Conduct Authority in London, for international organisations and for multilateral investment banks such as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
